Diamondbacks activate Montero from DL

06/12/2010 - Phoenix, AZ (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Arizona Diamondbacks have reinstated catcher Miguel Montero from the 15-day disabled list.

The 26-year-old receiver was placed on the DL on April 11 with a right knee sprain and underwent surgery four days later to repair a partial meniscus tear in the same knee.

Montero finished a four-game minor league rehabilitation stint with Triple-A Reno on Friday, where he had five hits in 15 at-bats and knocked in two runs.

In four games in the major leagues this season, Montero is 6-for-12 with three RBI.

To make room for Montero's return, the team optioned John Hester to Reno. He was batting .188 with three RBI in 20 games for Arizona.
